Nowadays, students, especially the new generation, are easily influenced with the thing around them. Things that could help them build a bridge to success or create walls of failure. One of the examples of these are wrongdoings. Wrongdoings like drinking alcohol beverages, smoking, and worst is taking up drugs.

Now because of these issues, the government is planning to conduct random drug tests to different students especially in public school. As a result this is under the approval of Department of Education (DepEd) order no. 40. This act can really help reduce or even prevent the increasing problems about students who consume drugs. At the same point according to this order, proper procedures will be followed, committees will be assign to each tests, conference between the parents and the teachers will be conducted to explain the drug testing. After the tests, all specimen will be transferred to the Department of Health`s (DOH`s) custody. Within 15 days, results will be issued by the DOH and remains confidential whether it`s positive or negative. From here on only the parents and the students will be informed of the results of the test.

In my opinion, the test will not just help the students to focus on their studies but also to help them secure their future. This will make students realize that problems in life are not solved by using drugs and engaging with dangerous activities but rather sacrifice, dedication and hard work in life are thee conditions for whatever problem will encounter as they walk on the paths of success in their different careers.
